Another year has come, and more challenges will be faced. As the girls start the year right shows the sign to another promising year!
Here's what happened this week:
January 1, 2018 - TWICE and ONCEs around the world celebrated the turn of the new year with news that the girls ranked 5th overall on Hanteo 2017 Singer Award! This is based solely on the number of albums Twice sold on Hanteo in 2017, also making them Hanteo's 2017 best selling girl group!
January 2, 2018 - On top of placing 5th on Hanteo's 2017 Singer Award, TWICE also grabbed the top 2 positions for Synnara's Best-Selling Albums of 2017 for females with TWICEcoaster: Lane 2 and Signal. They were also on the 4th and 8th spot
January 2nd this year also marks Mina's 4th anniversary with JYP Entertainment! She started training with JYPE in 2014, and trained for around 1 year before she competed in Sixteen and debuted with the group we all love, TWICE!
We were also blessed with Jeongyeon's sister, actress Gong Seungyeon, instagram post featuring the three Yoo sisters on New Years day.
January 3, 2018 - ISAC or Idol Star Athletics Champion is a program that features many idol groups competing in sporting events such as running, relay races, archery, and many others events. TWICE was confirmed to compete in the event this year, however, Mina will not be participating in the rhythmic gymnastics competition (in which she won gold last year!).
January 4, 2018 - It seems just like yesterday we saw them celebrating reaching 14k followers. TWICE's official Instagram account, @twicetagram, reached 4 million followers in just a little over 2 years!
On this day, the foreign members, Momo, Sana, Mina, and Tzuyu went back to Korea from their home country after celebrating New Years with their family and loved ones. Welcome back to Korea MiSaMoTzu!
Momo and Chaeyoung released their 7th edition of MoChaeng TVfeaturing Dahyun and "VIP Guest" Nayeon. This week's episode included Chaeyoung's short haul of what's in her bag, a heated discussion on what MoChaeng TV is.
January 5, 2018 -- ONCEs were blessed with a surprise V-Live! Jeongyeon and Sana spent some time with us and added laughter to our day, along with Nayeon.
It was additionally revealed that TWICE would be participating in the archery competition at the Idol Star Athletics Championships for the Lunar New Year which is set to air later this month.
We wonder who will be joining the team this time!
January 6, 2018 -- It was a beautiful start to the day as Mina posted on Instagram about her participation in a campaign. Despite TWICE's busy schedules, Mina took some time out to knit beanies for newly born babies for the "Save The Children" campaign. The event was to save babies with patronage and providing them with hats.
TWICE's soon to be released Japanese single "Candy Pop" found a spot on the Hot 100 Japan Billboard Chart before its issue at #64!
January 7, 2018 -- The first week of the year ended with TWICE's first win for 2018! "Heart Shaker" received their 8th win and also their opening triple crown of the year. This was their 6th straight triple crown at Inkigayo and makes them the only group to achieve this! Well done to TWICE!
The "Heart Shaker" music video passed yet another milestone, hitting 80,000,000 views on YouTube! ONCEs are streaming hard!
Tzuyu updated Instagram with some cute videos and pictures of herself with Gucci while she was in Taiwan. She was specifically showing that Gucci does not ignore her kisses and affection! She also wished everyone a happy 2018!

At the end of the day, Jihyo uploaded a few selfies with GFriend's Yerin as she attended their concert alongside Dahyun and Nayeon! Her post left fans curious about the possibility of an incoming comeback soon. Fiestar's Cao Lu also put up a selfie of herself and Dahyun on her Weibo account and another group photo with Dahyun, Nayeon, and Jihyo!
