Like an Advent Calendar which gives us little surprises on a daily basis to make the wait for Christmas bearable, TWICE continues to release their own surprises for ONCE.
Here's what happened in the previous week:
December 18, 2017 - Who would have guessed that the previously released "Hidden Film" was, in fact, a teaser for their upcoming M/V for "Merry & Happy?" The "Merry & Happy" Music Video was announced to be released on the 2017.12.21 0AM.
TWICE wouldn't be TWICE if that had been the only news of the day; Heart Shaker M/V managed to surpass 40 million views and at this point, it's only a matter of time until Heart Shaker joins the 100 million views family.
JYP Entertainment also released new photos through the TWICE's official Twitter. These photos were taken from the Korean Lifestyle magazine Cosmopolitan.
JYP Entertainment continued to release more content for ONCE with a "Heart Shaker" Let's Dance (Mirror Version) video and following with the announcement for the Dance Cover Contest.
TWICE had a fantastic year in 2017, but that doesn't mean that the achievements in their previous years weren't impressive. A rankingof the Best-selling debut albums on Hanteo in this decade (Girl Groups) got released, and "The Story Begins" managed to secure the first place with 67.370 sold copies.
They also managed to secure the first place on the Gaon Year-End Chart 2017 for Girl Groups for both Most Sold Albums and Most Streamed.
On the same day, we got another little teaser for an upcoming TWICE content, this time released from the official Japanese accounts. TWICE JAPAN OFFICIAL uploaded a new video called 'TWICE SPOT' on their Youtube channel.
December 19, 2017 - For the upcoming KBS Gayo Daechukje, both Sana and Jeongyeon were reported to be MCs for the show.
Furthermore, Gallup released a list of the Top 20 idols of the year 2017, with Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Dahyun, and Tzuyu all being included in the list. For the Top Artists of the year, which was also released by Gallup, TWICE managed take second place.
For the upcoming TV Asahi Music Station Super Live, TWICE was revealed to be performing "TT" (Japanese version).
Due to the unfortunate events with Jonghyun, JYP Entertainment decided to postpone the release of the Merry & Happy Music Video to the 22nd December. JYP Entertainment also sent a wreath for Jonghyun.
December 20, 2017 - The BOUNCE! TWICE VOL 3 ViVi magazine was released, featuring individual shots with Momo.
The success of "Heart Shaker" and "Merry & Happy" keeps growing with almost all the live stages surpassing 1 million views. Fitting to this, the "Heart Shaker" M/V reached 1 million likes, and the Behind the Scenes video was released.
TWICE continued to top the rankings with another survey on Idol Champs. This time, Jihyo took 2nd place of Idols who had a teary debut after ending their long training period.
December 21, 2017 - TWICE topped 4 of Gaon's Weekly Chartand also secured the first place in the Gaon Chart's Yearly Digital Report of Girl Groups in 2017. With this not being enough, TWICE achieved a Gaon Triple Crown with "Merry & Happy" and "Heart Shaker".
ONCE showed that they haven't forgotten "Likey" as it surpassed 600K downloads on Gaon's Download Chart.
Sana was also confirmed to be one of the MC's for the KBS Song Festival 2017.
With the 1st Win on M Countdown for "Heart Shaker", TWICE is now the first Girl Group to win 30 times in Music Shows in a single year.
December 22, 2017 - Another milestone has been broken with the "TT" M/V surpassing 300 Million Views, making Twice the first K-Pop Girl Group to achieve that and also the fastest M/V to do so.
The M/V for Merry & Happy was also released after being postponed for a day.
"One More Time" and TWICE's new song, "Brand New Girl", which is set to be released in their 2nd Japanese Single along with "Candy Pop" on 2018.02.07, were featured in a CF by LINE.
The upcoming FIN.K.L special stage for SBS Gayo Daejun has faced a drastic change with Red Velvet's Irene and Seulgi pulling out. Instead, Momo and Mina would be performing alongside Nayeon and Dahyun.
The "Heart Shaker" M/V has surpassed 50 million views and to celebrate, "Heart Shaker" got their 2nd Win of Music Bank.
Another amazing feat achieved by TWICE who captivated the Japanese audience, performed TT - Japanese version live in Music Station, the only Korean Girl Group to be invited this year.
December 23, 2017 - TWICE gave another Christmas gift to ONCEs by releasing "Merry & Happy" M/V BEHIND. A very heartwarming gift to the fans as they show their sincere reactions and smiles as the girls surprise their fellow members individually with their carefully thought of gifts.
They befittingly ended with TWO more achievements to complete the day as they took the triple crown in Japan Oricon Rookie Department Yearly Rankings, the first overseas artist to do so!
TWICE achieved the 2nd highest score of all time as they get their 3rd win for Heart Shaker on MBC Music Core.
December 24, 2017 - Gifts kept pouring as TWICE released another behind video from the "Merry & Happy" M/V!
On the Dec. 24th episode of Inkigayo, TWICE achieved their 4th win for Heart Shaker and 33rd win for 2017 where they set another record for having the most number of music show wins in a year!
As expected, TWICE!
